Transfer to Copenhagen airport for your flight to Greenland, the world’s largest island. Departure at 8:30 am, approximately 4½ hours. After a short stop in Nuuk, continue to Ilulissat on a smaller aircraft. This scenic flight offers breathtaking views of icy landscapes and Arctic wilderness. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and meet your local guide for an introduction to the area, restaurants, and excursion options.

Guided tour of Ilulissat: In the afternoon, explore Ilulissat’s history and unique features, including its many sled dogs. Ilulissat means “icebergs,” perfectly describing the UNESCO World Heritage Icefjord and its majestic floating icebergs. Dinner at the hotel restaurant (drinks not included). Accommodation.

Excursion to Sermermiut Settlement: Located 1.5 km south of Ilulissat, this ancient Inuit site was inhabited for 4,000 years. Learn about indigenous life before European arrival, see ruins, and touch the permafrost.

Boat trip among icebergs: Over 40 million tons of ice flow into the fjord daily. Icebergs can exceed 100 meters wide and 60 meters high. Dress warmly or rent seal-skin clothing.

Northern Lights excursion: Venture away from city lights to witness the magical aurora borealis under a starry Arctic sky. Weather-dependent; sightings are not guaranteed.
